From compliance costs to operational performance and total cost of ownership: discover how SeaThrive's latest modelling tools support evidence-based decision-making for the adoption of alternative marine fuels and maritime decarbonisation.

More info
SeaThrive is a European collaboration designed to accelerate the development of alternative fuel projects in shipping. The project helps early-stage initiatives mature into investment-ready projects through targeted advisory support, training, workshops, and matchmaking activities.
As part of the project, SeaThrive is hosting the workshop "Tools and Insights for the Transition to Alternative Marine Fuels" during SMM Hamburg.
The workshop will showcase practical tools and methods for assessing vessel performance, operating costs, regulatory requirements, and investment needs related to alternative marine fuels such as ammonia, methanol, and hydrogen. Leading experts from both industry and research will share insights and experiences from ongoing projects and discuss how the maritime sector can accelerate the transition to low- and zero-emission fuels.
The session will also provide an opportunity to connect with key stakeholders from across the maritime value chain and exchange perspectives on project development, investment readiness, and implementation pathways.
Date: 2 September 2026, 15:00-17:00
Location: SMM Hamburg, Hall B3, Meeting Room "Marseille 2"
