Annual Report 2025: Operationalising maritime decarbonisation

Maritime CleanTech has published its Annual Report 2025, marking a year of strong partner collaboration, accelerating innovation and continued progress in maritime decarbonisation.

“Maritime CleanTech continues to turn momentum into measurable progress — and I am proud of how our high-performing network has responded. Throughout 2025, we have strengthened our position as a driving force in the maritime transition”, says Bjørn Sundland, Chair of the Board, Maritime CleanTech.

Highlights from 2025 include:

  • 581 MNOK in maritime decarbonisation innovation support
  • 12 EU research and innovation projects
  • 22 policy inputs
  • 45 high-level political dialogues
  • 115 events hosted by Maritime CleanTech or featuring on stage

Looking ahead to the next phase

For 15 years, companies have worked side by side in the Maritime CleanTech ecosystem. What started with eight companies has grown into a global network leading new decarbonisation opportunities.

Looking ahead, Interim CEO Håvard Tvedte, points to the next phase of the transition: “We have shown that the solutions exist. Now we look ahead to the next phase: bringing more technologies into the market, into scale, and into everyday maritime operations”.
