Buzzing with bold concepts

When Maritime CleanTech gathers the green maritime industry for the annual brainstorming session, it's not a talking club. It’s all about developing ideas into future solutions, and last week's Innovation Workshop at Sola was no exception!

Many connections were forged, and promising seeds were planted as we gathered over 90 partners for brainstorming at the beautiful Sola Strand Hotel. We are confident that they will bear fruits in the months and years ahead! The participants, representing shipowners, shipbuilders, technology developers, and R&D were divided into workshops and delved into challenges ranging from newbuilds and retrofits to future fuels and offshore wind, searching for solutions.Materialization nextInnovation Manager, Øystein Huglen says that MCT will systematize and carefully review the outcome of the workshop discussions and descriptions, shake out the seeds, and see what can grow.- Within the administration, we’re now digesting and identifying further actions on the many ideas. The goal is to materialize the best ones and bring forth pilots, test, and scale up, Huglen says.

Over the years, our Annual Innovation Workshop has proven to be an unparalleled platform for networking and hatching groundbreaking ideas. The Annual Innovation Workshop has led to breakthrough initiatives gaining broad international attention and financial support from national and EU funding schemes.
