Enova has launched two new support programs: "Hydrogen in vessels" and "Ammonia in vessels."

80 percent possibilities
Up to 80 percent of the additional investment cost can be subsidized for the green vessel compared to the fossil one. The investment can either be in new/new ships and/or conversion of existing vessels.
Enova also announced that a new maritime hydrogen hub competition will be launched in the spring of 2024. Here, we will also be able to receive support for up to 80 percent of the investment costs for the production facility and infrastructure to make hydrogen available to maritime users.
Enova has supported projects worth NOK 2.2 billion within hydrogen and ammonia in the maritime sector. Despite the effort, no project has yet been realized.
