Mobilising for EU innovation

A new force for Europe’s green transition is setting sail. Maritime CleanTech is a part of the CleanFlow Energy network – a national initiative designed to boost Norwegian participation in EU-funded innovation projects.

Backed by the Research Council of Norway and Innovation Norway, the CleanFlow Energy network aims to mobilise more Norwegian actors in Horizon Europe, particularly Cluster 5, which targets key challenges in climate, energy and mobility.

A network with national mandate

While coordinated from Stavanger, the network unites a powerhouse of partners across Western Norway: Maritime CleanTech, Norwegian Offshore Wind, Energy Transition Norway, GCE Ocean Technology, NORCE, the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, the University of Bergen, and the county authorities of Rogaland and Vestland. Though rooted in the west, the CleanFlow Energy network has a national mandate.

The CleanFlow Energy network will host matchmaking events, provide tailored support for applicants, and contribute to shaping future EU funding calls through strategic input to Cluster 5 partnerships. By connecting with stakeholders in international networks, the initiative aims to increase Norway’s footprint in Horizon Europe projects through 2027.
