As partner activities, innovation collaborations and European engagement continue to grow, Maritime CleanTech is strengthening the team to support the move from pilots to scale. From September, Merethe Fjeldstad joins us as Project Manager.
Merethe Fjeldstad will work on Maritime CleanTech's key industrial initiatives and partner collaborations, and will be part of the communication team. She will also look at how AI can be put to practical use in the organisation, and where it could be useful for its partners.
"Europe is investing heavily in energy security and its own industrial strength, and low- and zero-emission shipping is part of that. Many of our partners are now going from pilot to scale, often backed by European funding and partnerships. To succeed, they need strong industrial initiatives, and they need to be understood by the shipowners, investors and EU programmes that decide what gets built. Merethe will work on both, and her background is exactly what we need to get our partners' work further out, faster," says Ada Jakobsen, CEO of Maritime CleanTech.
Fjeldstad has extensive experience from industry and international organisations, including nearly a decade at Bergen Engines and Rolls-Royce. She has worked across project management, communications, business development and stakeholder engagement. She has also focused on Generative AI for Business, bringing valuable expertise to Maritime CleanTech's growing activities in this area.
