9th November 202010th November 2020

Event Navigation

The Royal Norwegian Embassy in partnership with the University of Sydney and the Australian National Maritime Museum invites you to a high level Symposium Webinar on Oceans ‘Towards a Sustainable Ocean Economy’.

The Symposium will be a significant signature event, not least in the context of the upcoming report of the High-Level Ocean Panel co-chaired by Norway and Palau, the Our Ocean and SDG14 conferences, and the United Nations Decade on Oceans starting in 2021.

The Symposium Webinar is a free live event, with panel discussions, presentations and Q&A for online participants.

We are honoured to have the Governor of NSW, H.E. the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, attend and address the participants at the opening of the Symposium.

The Symposium will feature prominent speakers, policy-shapers, officials, academic experts, business leaders and others engaged in the crucial issues related to security, sustainability and economy of our oceans, including the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), marine pollution and resource management.
