Singapore is currently the top maritime capital of the world. It is also the world’s largest bunkering port as well and has the ambition to be the top maritime start-up hub in the world. Norway is a pioneer and leader in green and sustainable ocean technologies.
Digitalisation and Decarbonisation are two key current areas of interest that the Singapore maritime industry has, and these are also areas where Norway have substantial solutions and technology to offer.
The organizer of this event, Innovation Norway Singapore’s goal is to increase business partnerships and collaborations between Singapore and Norwegian maritime clusters and companies in Singapore and Norway.
To facilitate this, Norwegian stakeholders would benefit from knowing some of the broad challenges and focus areas for the Singapore maritime industry through Singapore Shipping Association (SSA)’s sharing. Singapore maritime companies would also benefit from knowing some of the technology available and sustainable maritime developments in Norway.
At this event, Norwegian stakeholders will learn more about the broad challenges and focus areas for Singapore’s maritime industry through sharing by SSA’s committees for Digital Transformation and Marine Fuel. Similarly, Singapore maritime companies will learn more about technological development and innovation projects in Norway through sharing by Norwegian maritime clusters.
This event will be a lead up to a planned market visit to Singapore by Norwegian technology and solution providers from the clusters.
