Launching the Norwegian Maritime AI Centre

On 27–28 January 2026, the Norwegian Maritime AI Centre (MAI) will be officially launched at Dokkhuset in Trondheim. The Norwegian Maritime AI Centre is a five-year initiative funded by the Research Council of Norway and its partners. As the first centre of its kind, MAI is established to bring together the maritime industry and leading research environments to accelerate the operational use of artificial intelligence across maritime value chains.

The event consists of an open official launch on 27 January (10:30-12:30), followed by a closed, project-internal workshop for MAI partners on 27–28 January.
