NTNU Energy Transition Week: FME Conference 2026

This year’s FME conference entitled ‘From INSIGHT to IMPACT – for a robust and sustainable energy system’ will take place on Thursday 19 March, during NTNU Energy Transition Week in Trondheim. The program will run from 9 am to 4 pm at Studentersamfundet, followed by a reception with finger food.

The thirteen Research Centres for Sustainable Energy (FME) have once again come together to create a joint conference and meeting place for dialogue, knowledge exchange and collaboration between researchers, business, politicians, policy makers, administration and academia. Throughout the day, they will focus on how the insights from these significant research centres can have a real impact for both partners and society at large. The conference will start with a plenary session, and will after lunch be divide into groups to shed light on current topics. Join the dialogue!

The NTNU Energy Transition Week is a set of conferences, workshops, and networking events in Trondheim. Events are meant for academics, industry representatives and policymakers, but anyone seeking fact-based knowledge about future energy markets, innovation, and the transition to a net-zero society can attend.
