One Ocean Week Seattle

October 20 October 26

One Ocean Week Seattle sets the stage for global collaboration on clean ocean industries — and Maritime CleanTech and partners takes centre stage.

Hosted by Washington Maritime Blue, the One Ocean Week Seattle Edition, brings together leaders from industry, research, policy, and investment to accelerate sustainable ocean solutions as part of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.

Together with Bergen Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Innovation Norway, Maritime CleanTech and partners will represent Norway’s thriving maritime ecosystem — a complete value chain of technology developers, shipowners, and networks with a proven record on demonstrating smarter and cleaner solutions.

The agenda highlights shared priorities between Norway and Washington State: ocean innovation.

Throughout the week, Maritime CleanTech’s Håvard Tvedte, will contribute to several high-profile sessions and networking arenas:

  • Monday 20 October: Joining discussions and sharing lessons from the EU LOWNOISER project seeking to reduce underwater noise pollution.
  • Tuesday 21 October: Joining roundtables and sessions on the power of ocean clusters and the Nordic Innovation Summit Opening, strengthening ties between Nordic and U.S. innovation ecosystems. More information here:
  • Wednesday 22 October: Addressing models and mechanisms for collaboration to support the blue economy at the One Ocean Week Seattle Summit, coinciding with the arrival of the Statsraad Lehmkuhl at Pier 66 — a powerful symbol of Norwegian heritage and a celebration of the 200th anniversary of Norwegian emigration to America.
  • Thursday 23 October: Key sessions with Maritime CleanTech partners Havila Kystruten, Corvus Energy, Norwegian Electric Systems, Kongsberg Maritime, University of Bergen and many more on Enhancing Blue EconomyTransatlantic Cooperation, and Data Innovation. Organised by Bergen Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
  • Friday 24 October:Arctic Frontiers Conference, addressing ocean stewardship and innovation in northern regions.

“The partnership between Washington Maritime Blue and Maritime CleanTech continues to grow stronger — built on trust, innovation, and a shared vision for clean oceans. Our collaboration demonstrates how transatlantic cooperation can accelerate the blue innovation and unlock new business opportunities”
says Håvard Tvedte, Head of Market Development of Maritime CleanTech

The Statsraad Lehmkuhl will serve as a floating venue throughout the week — a hub for delegation meetings, partner sessions, and technology showcases.
It’s a fitting setting for the next chapter of Norwegian–U.S. collaboration on maritime business.

Join us in Seattle to shape the future of the ocean.
