Tech Update: Ammonia Safety

February 14 at 10:00 14:00

THIS EVENT IS FULLY BOOKED. CONTACT US TO BE PLACED ON WAITING LIST.

Ammonia has great potential as a source of zero-emission fuel for shipping, and several ship owners and technology providers are competing for the world’s first ammonia-powered ship. Still, ammonia is highly toxic. Are the safety regulations keeping up with the technology development? And what about the crew members who will operate the vessels?  Maritime CleanTech and the Norwegian Maritime Authority invite you to our seminar on ammonia safety in Haugesund on February 14th.   Here, experts on safety barriers and technology developers will discuss the latest developments, whilst the Norwegian Maritime Authority get us up to date on the regulatory framework for ammonia, which is currently being developed at the IMO.     Note that the seminar is exclusive to Maritime CleanTech Partners.
