MH Partners — the latest addition to the cluster — is managed by lawyers Linda Rudolfsen Myklebust and Cecilie Koch Hatlebrekke. Having held leading positions in various companies within the ocean and legal industries, they now have established a unique corporate sustainability law firm.
— Joining Maritime CleanTech was natural to us, since we are aiming to help businesses reduce their carbon footprint by advising them on how to report and how to navigate in the current and upcoming ESG regulations and systems, says partner and co-founder Cecilie Koch Hatlebrekke.
— In addition, we quickly discovered that being a cluster partner gives us the opportunity to share our ideas and knowledge with leading maritime industry. It also allows us to learn from them, and to improve our business further, says partner and other co-founder Linda Rudolfsen Myklebust.
Broad industry background
MH Partners was founded by Linda Rudolfsen Myklebust and Cecilie Koch Hatlebrekke based on a passionate commitment to sustainability in its broadest sense. They strongly believe in sharing knowledge and expertise as a tool to get us where we need to be in terms of sustainability; both as a society, as companies and as individuals.
Myklebust and Hatlebrekke have extensive experience working as corporate lawyers in different law firms. In addition, they have held several inhouse positions as general counsels and members of executive leadership teams in various companies, including G2 Ocean, Odfjell Drilling, PGS, Shearwater and, Subsea7.
— By combining deep industry knowledge and our legal expertise, we are now providing legal services within a broad specter, but our purpose and services are founded on sustainability. Here we offer both advisory services and more hands-on reporting tasks. The world is changing as it never has before, and environmental risks are peaking. However, on the flip side of risk, there is opportunity, says Hatlebrekke.
To avoid your very own Kodak moment, you need to plan for a sustainable business in a net zero-carbon society. If this is done right, sustainability is simply good business and is in our opinion the biggest business opportunity of our time, says Myklebust.
