Maritime CleanTech strengthens our organization to establish innovation projects and promote groundbreaking green maritime solutions on the international markets.

Maritime CleanTech’s new cluster strategy emphasizes the scale-up and export of new energy-efficient and clean maritime solutions.

– On behalf of our member companies, we are expanding our ability to further grow the green maritime business. Therefore, we extend our team and look for two ambitious leaders to fill key positions in our world-leading cluster collaboration. In line with our new strategy, this will strengthen both the technological development and the commercialization of green solutions for shipping, says CEO Hege Økland.

New leaders for innovation and business operations
NCE Maritime CleanTech is looking for the right candidate to fill our new Head of Innovation and Project Development role. This leader will establish innovation processes across the maritime value chain to strengthen the cluster companies’ competitiveness in the ongoing green transition. Knowledge of and commitment to technological development are examples of relevant qualifications. Read more about the position here and how to apply.

At the same time, we are looking for a new Head of Finance and Business Operations. In addition to the overall financial responsibility and securing our business operations, this person will strengthen our activities towards scaling up and internationalize green maritime businesses. New head of communication and public affairs
Maritime CleanTech has a key role in promoting green maritime solutions and opening the markets for new technologies. Starting in August, Håvard Tvedte will be our new Head of Communications and Public Affairs. Tvedte is currently responsible for project development in our cluster and established our communications activities five years ago.

– Maritime CleanTech is well-known for our competent communications work, and on behalf of our member companies, we continue to push relevant and important messages into the markets. I have gained thorough insights into the green transition from my current tasks with innovation projects. Together with the rest of the team, I look forward to bringing to light all the groundbreaking innovations created in our cluster, says Håvard Tvedte.

As our members are frontrunners in the green transition, they welcome strong governmental action. Tvedte and the communications team will intensify the work on influencing the international environmental regulations for the shipping industry.

– Clear communication and political outreach are both essential to opening international markets for cleaner maritime solutions. Maritime CleanTech will prioritize strengthening these activities in the years to come, and I am glad to see Håvard taking on these tasks. With his broad cluster experience and his previous positions in the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation and the Norwegian Parliament, Håvard’s experience will benefit our cluster when we promote greener solutions worldwide, says Hege Økland.
