Maritime CleanTech gains valuable new knowledge with two new hires: Project Manager Sven Rolfsen and Business Manager Karina Hope Sortland. 

– I´m looking forward to working hands on with the green shift in shipping. It will be interesting to follow the supreme global technology development up close, says our new Project Manager at Maritime CleanTech, Sven Rolfsen. 

For the last eight years, Sven has been working for shipping company Utkilen AS. Since 2019 as Technical Manager.  

Sven holds a Master´s degree in Marine Engineering from Strathclyde University. He also have experience from working with recertification of subsea components at Aker Subsea. 

In Maritime CleanTech Sven will initiate and lead green technology projects. In addition, Sven will advise our cluster partners in their technology development meeting new and stricter emission regulations.  

Expanding 

Karina Hope Sortland is Maritime CleanTech´s new Manager Business Administration. Sortland joins the cluster administration after leading the accounting and consulting firm Azets Insight AS` Bømlo division.  

Karina has a MSc in Economics, and has also valuable experience as Brand Manager for Orkla Foods AS. 

In Maritime CleanTech, Karina will be heading our business operation and thus beeing responsible for administration, HR and finance. 

– I´m very happy to join this team of skilled colleagues, and to be part of a network that works together to develop new and clean solutions for the maritime industry, Karina says. 

– We´re lucky to get Karina and Sven on board our cluster administration. They will contribute to strengthening our cluster services to achieve more within the green transition by collaborating, says CEO in Maritime CleanTech, Hege Økland.
