Maritime CleanTech is entering a period of increased activity and continues to build momentum. With a growing number of partners and projects, strengthened engagement towards EU initiatives, and a continued focus on accelerating new maritime technologies, the team is now expanding to meet high ambitions and opportunities across the ecosystem.
Maritime CleanTech is delighted to welcome Fabian Amdal Åsland and Tiril Amalie Johansen onboard.

Fabian strengthens communication and EU projects from Stavanger
Fabian Amdal Åsland joins Maritime CleanTech as Market and Project Coordinator, in a hybrid role combining market activities with project development and project management. He brings broad experience from national and international green development projects, including EU experience, innovation initiatives, and public–private collaboration.
Fabian works strategically with partners and projects to support technological development, communication and market activities, and further innovation facilitation. He has extensive experience from the public funding ecosystem, having worked with funding schemes both from the evaluation side and as a developer and writer of project proposals for national and European programs. He holds a master’s degree in Environment and Socioeconomics and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Spain, and will contribute to strengthening collaboration with partners and international stakeholders. Fabian will be working from at our Stavanger office.
Tiril takes on projects and event coordination from Bergen
Tiril Amalie Johansen joins the team as Project and Event Coordinator, and will be based at our Bergen office at Marineholmen. She will contribute to communication work across Maritime CleanTech and its projects, in addition to planning and coordinating events.
Tiril brings experience from complex and innovative industrial projects through her previous role as Communication Advisor for the pioneer project Grøn region Vestland. While employed by Vestland County Council, she has gained broad knowledge working closely with public and private sector, research and development, and the wider innovation ecosystem. She holds a master’s degree in media and communication from the University of Bergen. Her background also includes working for the partner organization Klimapartnere Vestland and the Royal Norwegian Navy, among others.
