North Sea Synergy: The role of Western Norway in Europe’s Sustainable Future

June 10 at 18:00 20:00

On the opening day of EU Sustainable Energy Week, we warmly invite you to an evening reception with the energy frontrunners of Western Norway. The event is hosted by the CleanFlow Energy Network, in cooperation with the West Norway Office, Stavanger Region European Office, and Vestland County Council. Let’s connect and explore how Western Norway contributes to Europe’s green energy transition.

In the coming years, stakeholders across Western Norway will engage in large-scale projects and joint efforts to accelerate the shift to sustainable energy systems. By drawing on decades of industrial expertise and adapting it to new, low-emission solutions, the region is contributing to shared European goals for decarbonization. This transformation also involves building cross- border partnerships and developing the skills needed for a future-fit energy workforce.

In Maritime CleanTech’s pitch, we’ll showcase how European innovation fuels the energy transition — from pilot to market:

Apollo Ammonia Project – Demonstrating ammonia operations on offshore vessels
FLAGSHIPS – Hydrogen fuel cell vessels on EU inland waterways
STEESMAT – Next-gen power systems for large vessels, cutting energy use
TrAM H2020 Project – From EU pilot to world’s largest electric catamaran — now heading for South America

Please join us to hear how key initiatives from Western Norway align with and contribute to the EU’s clean energy transition.
