The very first CleanTech Meetup took place this week. During the coming weeks, four more digital meetings will take place to connect companies, people, and ideas across the cluster.
CleanTech Meetups is our brand-new digital meeting place – where new cluster partners get their well-deserved chance in the spotlight. In a series of digital meetings, we will get to know who they are, and most importantly, what they are aiming for. Our cluster partners are highly urged to take part in the discussions following the presentations.
— This is an excellent way for new and existing cluster partners to get to know each other, find opportunities for collaboration and make change happen in the maritime industry, says Hege Økland, CEO of NCE Maritime CleanTech.
Knowledge and key competence sharing
On Wednesday 19 May, the very first CleanTech Meetup was launched. The topic was “Emission free solutions for clean fjords’, and four cluster partners – Napier, Hafenstrom, Zeabuz and Lift Ocean – got the chance to present themselves and their motivation for joining the cluster. They all agreed that the CleanTech meetup is a great way to connect and learn from each other.
— The CleanTech meetup concept is a good arena to show who we are, but also to discuss potential collaborations and partnerships required to industrialize our innovative solution. Since the NCE Maritime CleanTech cluster consists of representatives from the full maritime value chain, it offers great opportunities for us to connect with people with the right competence, says Erik Dyrkoren, CEO of Zeabuz.
— Participating in the CleanTech Meetup was a great chance to getting to know other cluster partners and being able to connect with like minded cluster colleagues in the green maritime industry. I highly urge all cluster partners to join the coming CleanTech meetups, says Petter Mørland Johnsen, CEO and founder of Lift Ocean, .
CleanTech Meetup #2 Future fuels
In the second edition of CleanTech Meetup on 26 May, the topic is ‘Future Fuels’. We will meet four cluster partners. Two of them: HY2GEN and Renevo are developing and producing low- and zero emission fuels. In addition, we will hear from technology company Powerzeek, that is providing a digital platform for clean fuels in the transport sectors. Finally, we will get to know Future Energy solutions that develops new technology and solutions for improved efficiency and reduction of emissions from ships. Please sign up for the event here.
CleanTech Meetup #3 Greener shipping
In the third edition of our CleanTech Meetup, on 2 June, you will have the chance to meet four of our cluster partners – which are all aiming for a greener shipping industry. Bergen Bunkers AS is an international trading company trading bunkers and lubricants to Norwegian and foreign vessels world-wide. They now experience a growing interest in environmentally friendly fuels. You will also hear from three ship owners: Höegh LNG, Utkilen and Siem Offshore. Please sign up for the event here.
