Jan Norbeck and Tonje Hovland have joined our administration, ready to follow up cluster partners regarding green innovation and international opportunities.
Jan Norbeck has taken on the position as EU advisor, and Tonje Hovland is our new project coordinator.
New EU advisor – ready to follow up partners EU calls
With broad experience from the maritime sector, our new EU advisor is ready to connect with our cluster partners regarding relevant calls for innovation funding:
– I feel privileged to be part of this very important work to move the maritime industry towards a cleaner future, together with skilled colleagues and innovative and ambitious cluster partners, says Jan Norbeck.
For the last 13 years, Norbeck has been part of Sintef Ocean, hatching out ideas and writing proposals for innovation projects within aquaculture, shipping, and floating wind. He also has valuable experience working for deep-sea shipowners within chartering , operation and technical management including crewing.
New project coordinator – facilitating for more international business
Tonje Hovland joined Maritime CleanTech in August. With her master’s degree in technology leadership from NTNU, combined with her degree in renewable energy, Hovland is more than ready to be part of the ongoing work with the green transition of the ocean industries:
– I look forward to meeting all our cluster partners and helping and facilitate finding their “path” towards cleaner maritime solutions. Identifying future technologies need broad collaboration, and I am eager to learn more across the green maritime value chain, Hovland says.
One of the projects Hovland has started out this month is to help our cluster partners accelerate towards international growth – scaling up from pilot technologies to commercial success. More information here.
Before joining Maritime CleanTech, Tonje Hovland worked as a Trainee in Lyse Elnett, and she has also experience from Statkraft and cluster partner Yara.
