Expert group: The next step for shore power standardization
30th May 2023 at 12:00–13:30
Event Navigation
As the number of electric and hybrid vessels is growing rapidly, so is the number of alternative charging solutions. Lack of infrastructure predictability is significantly hampering the shift to zero emission passenger vessels. The discussion of whether and how to standardize has been on the agenda for a long time. Based on input from MCT and Hurtigbåtforbundet, NEK/Landstrømsforum has now initiated standardization work for DC charging of light vessels.
In this Shore Power Expert Group meeting, we will inform about the new initiative from NEK (Norsk Elektroteknisk Komite) and Landstrømsforum towards shore power for high speed passenger vessels (and other light vessels) and discuss how the MCT partnership should engage in the workgroup.
We will also use the opportunity to have a general update on shore power.
Register now and stay tuned for updates on the agenda.
This webinar is for Maritime CleanTech partners and invited speakers only.
